PURPOSE

TERAZID GT-11 is a ready-to-use paste-form mixture for waterproofing horizontal and vertical surfaces, except for those exposed to direct sunlight.
The product creates an elastic, seamless waterproof coating under ceramic floorings and facings in interior spaces such as:

• Bathrooms

• Water closets

• Wet rooms

• Other damp areas

TERAZID GT-11 is also suitable for waterproofing small external areas under the floorings of balconies and terraces.
The product is compatible with all ceramic adhesives produced by TERAZID.

PREPARATION OF THE BASE

TERAZID GT-11 effectively covers fine cracks and adheres excellently to different construction bases such as:

• Concrete

• Cement-sand mortars

• Lime-cement plasters

• Asbestos cement sheets

The base must be flat, strong, dry, and free of dust, sand, contaminants, and separating layers.
Application over deep cracks is not allowed.
Old paint coatings must be removed, and unstable surfaces must be cleaned and primed.

• Density: 1.65 g/cm³

• Work temperature: +5°C to +30°C

• Complete drying time: Around 12 hours

• Ready for tile covering: Minimum 12 hours after applying the final layer

• Minimum thickness of application: 2 mm

APPLICATION AND PROCESSING

After opening the package, stir the product thoroughly using a mechanical mixer.
Apply TERAZID GT-11 with a brush or roller in two to three layers, perpendicular to each other, ensuring at least 12 hours drying time between layers.

Recommendations:

• Use reinforcing fiberglass mesh or polyester veil between the layers.

• In corners between walls, or between walls and floors, use hydro-insulation tape.

• Maintain a minimum total application thickness of 2 mm.

Tile adhesive application can start after the complete drying of the waterproofing, but not earlier than 12 hours.

CONSUMPTION

• Approximately 2.5 kg/m² for two layers with 1 mm thickness each.

WEATHER CONDITIONS AT WORK

The minimum 24-hour temperature of the air and base should not be less than +5°C, and the maximum should not exceed +30°C.
Application during high air humidity, rain, or when rain is forecasted is not recommended.
Protect the freshly applied waterproofing from dust for 1–2 hours.
When applying to concrete, it is desirable that this be done at least 15 days after the concrete has been poured (after full drying).

FORM OF DELIVERY

• Paste in plastic buckets of 1.4 kg, 5 kg, and 25 kg.
