PURPOSE
The plastic anchors for thermal insulation are designed for mechanical fixing of expanded and extruded polystyrene insulation boards. Depending on the type of the base on which they will be fixed on, the anchors can be divided in two types: anchors for bricks – with plastic nail and anchors for concrete.
Anchors for bricks are used for the additional fixing of thermal-insulating boards to ceramic brick, gas-concrete or other masonries.
The substrate must be prepared by pre-drilling holes, in which the anchors will be wedged, with at least 5 cm penetration.
Minimum 6 anchors per square meter is recommended – one in the mutual connection point between three adjoining boards and one in the middle of every board.
The length of the anchors that is going to be used, is defined by the thickness of the thermal-insulating boards. They have factory screw channels, which increase the anchoring strength with the base.
