22 mixed pairs and 32 men participated at the weekend in the second edition of Building Business tennis tournament on the courts of DEMA sports center. The tournament is organized by leading Bulgarian manufacturer of glues, plasters and heat-insulating materials TERAZID EOOD.
After a very close-run semi-final and final, the men’s statuette was awarded to Borislav Gerginov from Toplivo-Sofia association, and his runner up became Dobromir Ganev (G Investments). Elena Andonova and Emil Markov won the title among the mixed pairs, the second place was won by Dimitrina Boicheva and Petar Kotev.
Among the contenders at the Terazid tennis tournament were also the managers of KAI Group Spas Shopov, building company Tanel OOD Marin Dokov and the company Izomax was represented by its manager Petar Baichev and his son Todor Baichev responsible for the marketing communications.
Representatives of more than 30 companies from the trade – investment and building companies, architects’ and designers’ bureaus and trade companies, among which Contract City, Home For You, UPA, Artek Media architect bureau, Orkikem OOD and others matched strength on the tennis courts.
“I’m very glad that this year, besides the greater number of participants in the tournament, we observe a higher class of play, said during the awarding Eng. I believe that next year the tournament will become more popular, because it combines the pleasure from the play, informal meetings with business partners and the opportunity to come into new contacts.” In the first tournament edition in 2008 more than 30 architects, engineers and entrepreneurs from 21 companies participated in the tournament, as Padostina Stefanova from Sprint EOOD and George Todorov from Contract City won the prize among the mixed pairs, and after a very close-run match, the cup for the gold medal among the men’s pairs was won by Ivo Varbanov (IT Electronics) and Konstantin Iliev (Co Engineering).
