Terazid EOOD trains studets from Sofia High School of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy “Hristo Botev” in skilful placing of waterproofing materials and tiles

For a third successive year, specialists of the best Bulgarian manufacturer of building materials TERAZID EOOD conduct practical training of students from Sofia High School of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy Hristo Botev.

This year’s subject of training is “Waterproofing and Placing of Ceramic Facing”. The company has a developed entire system for placing of ceramic facing in bathrooms and damp location. For more than a week, students from 10th, 11th and 12th grades, 7 forms in all of the professional high school have been listening to lectures by Eng. George Atanasov and Eng. Yulian Yovchev, Trade Representatives in TERAZID EOOD and former students of the school. Future skilled workers and builders had the opportunity to lay on personally the Terazid GT-11 paste-like waterproofing material and Terazid Standart cement glue. In addition, young man have learnt to tile critical foundations or old faience tiles (tile upon tile).

“We make an effort to show not only a technique performance of each operation but to introduce new products and technologies to young man as well”, said Eng. Atanasov. Both an elastic waterproofing which is a paste-like product and is either brushed on or applied by an applicator roll and a sealing watertight angle band particularly arose students’ special interest. The teachers shared personally, that these are innovative products which considerably improve the final result and facilitate the masters’ job.
Practical training is extremely useful for students, because they learn not only to know all angles of construction operations performance, but begin to attend to theory with more interest”, generalized Eng. Yulian Yovchev. Naturally, the boys took active part in the course of more labour-intensive activities, such as tile cutting and gluing. The girls took part in jointing with Fugarid hydrophobic mixture.

TERAZID’s specialists passed on the theoretical features and its practical experience regarding heat-insulating system placement and decoration facade plaster application and structuring as well.
