Technicians of TERAZID EOOD gave one-week practical training to schoolchildren from Sofia Secondary School in Construction, Architecture and Surveying named by Hristo Botev. The subject of training, where schoolchildren of 11 and 12 grades took part, was Finish Coatings- characteristics and application.
This year, TERAZID EOOD for a second time gives together with the school administration a training module to young construction specialists. “ For the future engineers and architects is very important yet during the initial period of basic knowledge accumulation to get familiar with building materials specifics and their application. I hope these practical classes will be useful in their future work and that’s why we plan to turn them into a tradition”, explains TERAZID EOOD’s Manager, Mr. Rosen Stankov.
Except for the given opportunity to schoolchildren to experience their skills in facade paint application and practical worthy advice of the specialists, TERAZID EOOD provided materials, necessary to overhaul the corridor leading to the rooms for practical classes at the school. Thus, a double effect is achieved – children acquire professional skills and the characteristics of the building they go to every day get better.
Generally 7 classes of schoolchildren of SCSC named by Hristo Botev were given practical training in the course of this year. TERAZID EOOD’s specialists introduced to the future engineers the specifics when applying various finish coatings – facade paint and plasters and Akrilex interior paint. The company is among the leading manufacturers of polymer, silicone and silicate plasters. Eng. George Atanasov, trade representative of TERAZID EOOD and a former pupil of SCSC named by Hristo Botev introduced to schoolchildren the basic technical characteristics of the products and their various advantages. “Decorit polymer plaster is a multifunctional product designed for ornamental facade finish. The glass of potassium, added to the Silikat silicate plaster renders possible to work with the product at the higher summer temperatures while the excellent vapour permeability and water- resistance characteristics of Sicolit silicone plaster makes it right for heat insulation made of glass wool. It is the best solution for facade finish even in very humid maritime areas”, explained the specifics Eng. George Atanasov.
After the introductory theoretical training, TERAZID EOOD’s specialists presented by visual aids the method of polymer plaster application and structuring manufactured providing a possibility for achievement of final decorative effect, namely: dragged and scratched structure. Architectural solution variety is achieved due to the palette of 210 colours and different size of structuring grains.
To become aware of the work with the materials and the importance of technological times some of the young people tested their skills in plaster application. ”Some of the children are very capable and even now it is obvious that they will become very good professionals”, shared the form master of 11th grade, Mrs. Mitzeva.
Last year TERAZID EOOD gave a specialized training for integral heat insulating system installation, accomplishable entirely with company’s products and in conformity with the Bulgarian State Standard (BSS). “ That’s why, this year we decided to extend the knowledge of young people about facade paint and plasters specifics ”, explains Eng.
