Self-leveling screed from 2 to 20 mm
Category: Self-leveling screeds
Description:
PURPOSE
NIVELOR MAXI TOP is a dry calcium-sulphate mixture with added mineral fillers and special polymers, for internal application.
The product is designed for leveling with thickness of the layer from 2 to 20 mm, of uneven floor areas. It is suitable for applying on different bases such as concrete floors, calcium-sulphate or cement-based surfaces, in new buildings or when repairing old indoor rooms.
NIVELOR MAXI TOP has high wear resistance and short-term drying abilities. With its high-strength characteristics, the product is recommended for fine leveling on floors with integrated floor-heating installations.
Before applying of NIVELOR STANDARD the base should be primed with TERAZID G-101.
The product’s characteristics allow walking on the screed 4-5 hours after its application, with thickness of the layer – 10 mm. The following building operations should start 3-5 days later, considering the self-leveling screed’s humidity and the type of the floor covering, which is going to be applied.
Maximum thickness of the layer – up to 20 mm.

NIVELOR MAXI TOP
Self-levelling screed for interior application from 2 to 20 mm
In accordance with EN 13813:2003 – class C25F7B2,0A22
Dry calcium-sulphate mixture for levelling of indoor premises
PURPOSE
NIVELOR MAXI TOP is a dry calcium-sulphate mixture for leveling of uneven indoor floors, with a thickness of applying from 2 to 20 mm. It is suitable for applying on different bases, such as concrete, calcium-sulphate, magnesite, or cement-based surfaces. The product characteristics, such as the excellent spreading ability, short drying terms, and high wear-resistance, allow NIVELOR MAXI TOP to be used on floors with integrated heating systems.
PROPERTIES
-
Fastness and precision at application
-
From 2 to 20 mm
-
Short periods of drying
-
High wear resistance
-
Suitable for floor heating systems
PREPARATION OF THE BASE
The base should be strong, dry, free from oil, dust, sand, and other contaminants or separating layers. The concrete bases should have reached their optimal strength (after 28 days). Before applying NIVELOR MAXI TOP, the base should be primed with TERAZID G-101 (for low-absorbing substrates) or TERAZID G-202 (for high-absorbing substrates). The self-leveling screed should be applied after the primer is completely dry.

APPLICATION AND PROCESSING
To fully dissolve the 25 kg of NIVELOR MAXI TOP, around 6 liters of water are required. Into a preliminary prepared container with water, the necessary amount of dry mixture is poured and stirred with a mechanical mixer until a homogeneous mass is achieved. Thus, the stirred mixture is left to stay for about 5-10 minutes, after that it is stirred once again and it is ready for work. It is desirable to prepare as much quantity of NIVELOR MAXI TOP as it could be applied for a period of 60 minutes. Spill the screed over the working area and spread it with a stainless mortarboard till the necessary thickness is achieved. The work starts from the farthest corner of the room, gradually moving towards the door. If necessary, the freshly applied layer is deaerated with a special needle roller. It is advisable to work with special shoes, fitted with spikes.
NIVELOR MAXI TOP characteristics allow walking on the screed 4-5 hours after its application, with a thickness of the layer – 10 mm. Subsequent construction operations should start after 3-5 days, considering the screed humidity and the type of the covering that is going to be applied.
CONSUMPTION
1.4 – 1.6 kg/m² with a thickness of the layer of 1 mm.

WEATHER CONDITIONS AT WORK
The minimum twenty-four-hour temperature of the air and the base should not be less than +5˚C, and the maximum – not higher than +25˚C. Lower temperatures could extend processing time, and higher temperatures could reduce it. After application of the self-levelling screed, a temperature of +5˚C to +25˚C should be ensured. Avoid application under direct sunlight or strong air drafts.
FORM OF DELIVERY
Dry mixture in paper bags of 25 kg
